Fun Entomology for Kids!

 

A crowd of thousands attended the STAR ECO Station’s Creepy Crawly Creature Feature that kicked off the fall with a hair-raising bug fest. The day integrated some of the latest studies on entomology into innovative games and lectures that turned this sometimes scary subject into a day of wonder and learning!

Kids and adults alike thrilled to walls that crawled, frightening fangs and furry legs. Visitors learned buzz worthy facts about creepy critters from Hollywood bug expert and trainer Steven Kutcher (“Arachnophobia”, “Spider-Man”) and tested their taste buds by consuming fried mealworms, almond roasted caterpillars, cricket-coated cookies and more.
